Computer Use Items

The following guides are about items linked to the access and running of your computer.

Shortcut Keys

The following are shortcut keys that will work on Windows based computers and across most programs / apps including web browsers that you can use on the computer:

  • 'ctrl' + 'Z' [press and hold down on 'ctrl' and 'Z' at the same time] will undo the very last thing you did
  • 'ctrl' + 'C'  [press and hold down on 'ctrl' and 'C' at the same time] will copy highlighted items
  • 'ctrl' + 'V'  [press and hold down on 'ctrl' and 'V' at the same time] will paste copied items
  • 'ctrl' + 'X'  [press and hold down on 'ctrl' and 'X' at the same time] will cut highlighted items

Spilt Screening on Windows Computers

If you have ever had to switch between two documents / programs on the one screen it can be time consuming and a pain.

The attached PDF file contains insturctions on how to view both documents / programs at the same time on a single screen.

Create multiple profiles with Edge

Using profiles on Edge allows you to keep mulitple people's or account's (like work and personal) bookmarks, history and other settings separate.


Just remember however that anyone can switch between these profiles and view what is in them.


Instructions for the desktop version is attached below. 

Though the steps to do this on other devices like an Android or iPhone/iPad are not to different.

Google

Share Chrome with others
